Black Powder Monkeys UK
About Us

The Black Powder Monkeys are professional firework display company based in the Yorkshire Dales, providing original, high quality, memorable shows for all types of events, locations and budgets.

Black Powder Monkeys was established in 2000 to produce high quality and original firework displays and fire shows, with the emphasis on site specific, tailor made design. All our shows are designed in consultation with the client in order to sympathetically reflect and enhance the nature of both the event and surroundings. This philosophy has lead to collaborations with Macnas, for the finale of the Galway Arts Festival, Waterford Spraoi Festival, the Kilkenny Arts Festival, St Patrick’s Day Festival in Dublin, for the “Meet Me At The River” opening ceremony and Welfare State International last ever show in Ulverston.

Most recently the Black Powder Monkeys Worked on Antony Gormley's Waste Man as part of the Margate Exodus. More details of which can be found here!

Other major works include; massive fire drawings for the Celtic League Rugby Final at Lansdowne Road, giant floating lance works in the Grand Canal Basin (Dublin) for the Reign Of Fire wrap party, and six consecutive annual themed bonfire builds for Carlisle City Council.
